Favorite shot: King cake babies

This is my favorite shot from the project.

Two workers assemble king cakes at Haydel's Bakery in New Orleans, Louisiana by inserting a plastic baby into each cake after it is baked and before the icing and sugar are added. Tradition dictates that the discoverer of the baby in the king cake at a Mardi Gras party is declared king or queen of the party, and must host the next Mardi Gras party.

That image is so funny. I know they are just plastic, but there is a little bit of perversion going on there. I thought the "Britney Kiss" image was going to be your favorite. http://209.197.74.199/kalat/britneykiss.jpg

I know I appreciated it!

so who coined the phrase "dead baby pie?"

you gotta make an animated gif of the baby getting shoved in the pastry.

Jeez, you can't just edit a comment? You have to delete it?

Dead baby pie is attributed, of course, to Jim Quine. Jim, Jaime (or was it Chris Kalin?) and I were looking at a couple of frames showing one of the workers pressing the plastic baby into the bottom of the cake. It just seemed right.
